Medicare Cost Report Time is Nearly Here

Multi-View is already busy emailing Medicare cost report submission templates. If your hospice’s fiscal year ended in December you should get yours by the end of March.

The email spells out what you need to do and the files we need to prepare your cost report. Don’t wait until you have all the pieces in place before sending files. We begin preliminary work on your cost report as soon as we receive some files. Our deadline receiving all your files is April 30th.

This year you’ll find a simpler submission template. It will already contain beginning balances on your A-7 page. Square footage from your last cost report is in place, so if nothing has changed in your offices, that part is already done on the B-1. And much of your S-1 identifying information is already filled in.

As of the publication of this article, CMS has not yet announced final requirement for the new cost report. As soon as the announcement is made Multi-View will schedule an online Real-View video detailing everything you’ll need to know about the new format and how to prepare for it
