MVI Self-Learning Modules for Network Clients!
MVI is introducing Self-Learning Modules for MVI Network Hospices! If a Hospice that only Benchmarks with MVI desires access to these, it would simply need to upgrade to Network.
These modules enable a Hospice to incorporate MVI audio/visual presentations to augment individual as well as group instruction. The focus of these Self-Learning Modules is Hospice MANAGEMENT! Hospices need to be developing top rung Managers at every level of the organization if they are ever going to become world-class. Anything else is a fantasy!
All front-line clinicians take their behavior and performance cues from the immediate supervisor. The immediate supervisor also determines staff morale and the retention of Talent. Turnover, the #1 destroyer of value, should be 10% or less to justify any real claim of being a quality Hospice.
These Self-Learning Modules can be used by Hospices to reinforce learning and include a quiz (knowledge evaluation) at the end of each module. Unless Student learning has been evaluated, NO TEACHING has been considered done in top teaching environments as most Students will have missed virtually all of the major points unless the learning has been evaluated and they are held Accountable for their learning.

For Hospices that have done the Proprietary Model Workshop or People Development & the Model Program, the idea of creating Self-Learning Modules is a fundamental component of “doing the Model” as it is the first step of System 7, the system in which a Hospice teaches the Standards of the organization. So let’s review. What is System 7? It is:

When implementing Standards, System 7 is the best system known-to-date for moving ideals into practice. This combined with Uniform Accountability for any deviation from the organizational Standards is what enables a Hospice to create a world of non-exception where the Standards are performed 100% of the time, on a day-to-day basis. System 7 is applied to each and every Standard so an organization removes the excuse “I didn’t know that” forever. All Standards must be (1) Clear, (2) Taught Well and (3) Have Uniform Accountability attached to any behavior or performance that is not to Standard in order to create this world of “non-exception” where things like documentation have ZERO defects in quality or timeliness at a Hospice for months at a time and where there are large blocks of time between “service failures.” If you don’t believe this is possible, the Standards of your organization simply are not high enough. You need to raise your Standards!
